Volleyball team pictures

I had the honor of taking Volleyball team pictures for this great group of girls, for the third time. But this time I also got to take pictures of the younger team in addition to the older girls team. These gals are so adorable and know how to ham it up for the camera. The past two times I have taken their pictures against a very boring brick wall. There just are not many places to choose at the gym they practice at. So this time I decided to take them out to the grass and do them there. But after editing the photos I am thinking the boring brick wall might be the best area because there is just too much background in these pictures and they look more like soccer players than V-ball players. This is what you call learning from your mistakes, but as the photographer I am probably being very critical of my own work and I have a feeling the parents will still be pretty happy with their players pictures especially since they got a great deal.

As I was going through some archives I forgot to blog about the photo shoot I had with this beautiful lady a few months back. She wanted to have some pictures of herself to send to her dad. We did them at the bird park in Gilbert. There is a fancy name for it, but it's a place where bird lovers can go and see all kinds of birds, thus the bird park. It offers some native arizona scenery and that's what we opted for.

Prom, oh what fun!

Let's just say that this group of Seniors was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed taking their pictures at Mesa Center for the Arts. It was very refreshing to be around teenagers who are respectful, kind, and thankful. Not that I am around other teens who are not this way, but it seems you always hear about the "bad" ones and it was nice to be around the "good" ones. It was also fun to see the pretty dresses these gals wore. I loved the bright colors and modest look they all had. Camden, my 9 year old, went along as my helper tonight. He was a great help and it was great to hang out with him. This is the first time I have taken one of my kids on a photo shoot but I could get used to it. Camden, your hired!

a senior already?

I really can't believe I was taking this guy's senior pictures. It just doesn't seem possible that it is already time for him to graduate. Having this family as our neighbors and friends, I have had a birds eye view of watching two of their kids graduate, one get married, and now it is his turn to don the cap and gown and graduate. It's just crazy how time flies. I really enjoyed doing his Senior pictures and he was a great sport and a great model. I enjoyed his laid back nature of things, so unlike girls when they are having their pictures taken. I really like how they turned out! Here is a little peak. You can click on the picture for a larger view if you want. I notice my monogram doesn't stand out in the picture that well, I still need to work on it. I want it subtle but not so much you have to search for it. And just a side note, when I download the pictures to the discs to give to my clients, the monogram is not on there. It's just for when I download them to my blog so nobody is stealing my pictures.
P.S. the last picture on here is just for laughs. ;)

KbK monogram

I finally did something tonight I have been wanting to do since I launched KandidsbyKorri! I have been wanting to stamp my digital pictures with a monogram and I finally figured out how to do it. I am so thrilled, and I figured it out all by myself with some help from a tutorial online. So I have given myself a pat on my back and now I can have my KbK stamp on each photo with the directions "do not copy". I am still playing with it so I will figure out exactly how I want it, the only drawback is I have to do it with each picture and that will add a little extra time when I blog the photos. But it really only takes less than a minute to do so that's not bad. I just have to figure out how big I want the KbK. Here is a little look!

I love having neighbors...

who let me take pictures of their beautiful faces. This beautiful young lady just got a hair cut and her braces off and so I just had to take her picture. We have seen her grow up right before our eyes and she has turned into a beautiful young lady. So here are a few of my favorites from our little photo shoot today.

Easter portraits

I couldn't resist having a mini photo shoot with my sweet daughter. I took advantage of the wildflowers up the street and got a few keepers.
