last photo shoot of the season

My season ended with a bang, and a good one at that. I really enjoyed this family. We me at Tempe Beach Park, I love this new location and plan to use it a lot next year! Can't wait to have more photo shoots there.
This sweet family consisted of the mom and dad, their two boys and Grandpa. It was Grandpa's birthday. They were such a great family to photograph.

family togetherness

I headed to Freestone Park today for my second to last photo shoot of the season. Today must be a popular day for photos because that place was PACKED with photographers. We managed to work around each other so it worked out fine. This sweet family was all in town together to celebrate Thanksgiving and wanted their extended family photographed together. The main objective was to get the big group shot but we still managed to sneak in some other ones as well. Note to self, don't go to Freestone park the weekend after Thanksgiving, it's just too busy!

On this Thanksgiving morning, I had a little photo shoot with our kiddos. I just went out our back gate into the baseball field and found some great backdrops. It was so much fun! And I LOVE these pictures. If you ever want to come on over, I now know the perfect little place to do some photos. :)

The more the merrier

Let me first start by syaing that taking pictures of large groups is challenging especially when the kids out number the adults and then add in there the excitement of the upcoming holidays and you have yourself a very challenging photo shoot. I knew right off it wouldn't be the kind where everyone is looking at the camera smiling nicely on the count of 3. Luckily the family didn't have those kind of expectations either so that took the edge off a little bit. I took a ton of pictures and hopefully the family will find that one picture that says, "This is it! I love it!"
Meet Grandpa and Grandma, the ones who wanted a large family portrait.

 As you can tell, not all the kids wanted to have their picture taken.

 And then it was time to have Grandpa and Grandma photographed with all their grandkids, and that's when the little ones got the wiggles instead of the giggles. Giggles would have been better.

 And then I heard "just take it, whatever we get- we get!" Even with all the parents standing behind me trying to direct their children, it just wasn't going to happen.

 This is one of my favs, we just let the kids be kids and the adults looked so nice.

 Grandpa wanted to re-create this picture. He has one just like it when these boys were babies, they are cousins and all born within 2 months of each other.

 Then we did individual families and that was much more manageable.

And there you have it, after this photo shoot I think I can handle just about anything. :)

2 years later

I really like this sweet family. They won a free photo shoot two years ago and came back for more. I love returning customers. This family is very sweet, fun to be with, and very laid back. I like laid back, it sets the mood for a comfortable photo shoot. Be prepared for lots of pictures, I couldn't just pick a few. :) Oh, and we did their photos at a place called Bella Via at Signal Butte and Warner.
