I have had the pleasure of photographing this family several times over the years. We did their photo session at the same location as last year because loved it so much. The wonderful thing about Mesa Arts Center is that there are so many places to take pictures there that we were able to use totally different spots this year even though we were at the same location. Here are a few that stood out to me from their photo shoot. One of these will look great on their Christmas card!

Birthday photos #13
This photo shoot was so much fun! These sweet girls were celebrating the 13th birthday of one of these gals and the mom surprised her and her friends with a photo shoot! Talk about fun and what 13 year old girl doesn't like some time in front of the camera. We met at downtown Mesa and spent some time in the heart of downtown and then headed over to the Mesa Arts Center for a few more pics. These girls are darling! What a fun photo shoot!

-W- Family
I had the honor of meeting this family over four years ago when their daughter became part of the junior high life group I was leading at our church. I got to know this family through those two years and now their daughter is a Sophomore in high school! Time sure does fly and for some reason kids just keep growing and growing! I've enjoyed a photo shoot with family a few years ago and they were due for updated photos so they asked me to do them. I love returning customers, it's like the best compliment ever! And I was super excited that we got to do some of their photos in my new favorite location, downtown Mesa. We did some at Mesa Arts Center as well. The more I go to the downtown area, the more I love it! Here are some of my favorite photos from their photo shoot.
*O* Family
This photo shoot was extra special. When I first met this family and did their photo shoot, they had one daughter and were longing for more children. They felt the call to foster care to grow their family and in a short amount of time they doubled their family size. They have since adopted their two beautiful boys and are fostering a gorgeous baby girl. You will notice I had to blur her face in the pictures because we have to keep her identity a mystery, but let me just tell you she is ADORABLE! These parents are the real deal, they are so kind, loving, wise, and amazing when it comes to parenting. Their children are so well behaved and really listened to their parents reminders and corrections. It was such a breath of fresh air and made my heart burst for joy that these children are now growing up in a loving home with parents who advocate for them and give them so much more than just unconditional love. Here are a few photos I want to share from their photo shoot at Mesa Arts Center.

Head shots
I kicked off this photography season by doing head shots for this child actor. He has been in several plays and has several opportunities ahead in the near future. I was so happy to be part of this exciting time in his life. We did his head shots at Mesa Arts Center. I just love the diversity of what it offers.

Re-launch of KandidsbyKorri!
Re-launch of KandidsbyKorri!
I’m so excited to announce that KbK! is back! After some much needed time off to rest and reevaluate, I’m ready to get behind my camera and take pictures of amazing families like yours! Even though I've been absent for almost two years here on my blog, it doesn't mean I haven't been behind my camera doing what I love- it just means I've had to scale way back due to the rhythm of my family and spend more time doing life with my husband and kids. The photo shoots I have had, haven't made their way to the blog but directly into the hands of my few, yet very thankful clients. So after a season of having to say no a lot, I'm finally ready to start saying YES again to photo shoots. And what a perfect time to dive back in as Fall in Arizona is a beautiful time for family photos, especially with Christmas right around the corner!
My 2015 fall season is kicking off on Friday October 2nd and I will be offering weekend sessions through Sunday December 6th. I am available for sessions on Friday-Sunday evenings and on Saturday & Sunday mornings. Keep in mind the best time for morning photos are before 10 a.m. and for evening photos, after 4 p.m.
I will be shooting at a choice of six amazing locations this season, two of them being newer locations. One of the most important things I’ve learned as a photographer is that when I’m familiar and comfortable with a location; it provides my clients with the best possible photos. I have chosen these specific locations because I’ve shot at them multiple times and am familiar with the lighting and with the perfect backdrops to make the best photos. You will see that there are a variety of different looks and I assure you one of these will match your family’s personality beautifully.
1. Mesa Arts Center (for a classy, contemporary, and artsy look- provides abundant variety and vibrant color). You can click on "Mesa Arts Center" on the sidebar to see pictures at this location.
2. Riparian Preserve (a desert lovers habitat with beautiful trails, native trees, and water features).
3. Tempe Beach Park (A family friendly, fun, urban look- one of my favorites). You can click on "Tempe Beach Park" on the side bar to see photos at this location.
4. Tonto National Preserve (for the nature loving adventurers who aren’t afraid to get off the beaten path). *must wear closed toed shoes at this location and not suitable for babies/toddlers. Click on "Tonto Preserve" to see photos at this location.
5. Coon Bluff (A country feel with gorgeous greenery and rock formations near the base of the Salt River). *New location*
6. Downtown Mesa (for the city dweller who enjoys the hustle and bustle of a busy downtown and doesn’t mind a crowd). *New location*

November 2014, "A" family
I met this sweet family when we adopted our daughter 10 years ago from South Korea. They have four adopted children from South Korea. Our daughter was on the same flight with them when they adopted their son, so they were travel buddies from Korea to the U.S. I've enjoyed taking their photos before and just love their cute faces! We did their photo session at Mesa Arts Center. We had a good time despite the unusually cold weather we had that day.
November 2014, G family
I've had the privilege of taking this family's photos for the past few years, it's always so much fun to see how the kids have grown since last year and catch up with them. We were friends first before I became their family photographer so this session is more like just hanging out with friends and capturing some cute photos along the way. We chose Mesa Arts Center for their session this year, it's such a fun place with so many fun backgrounds.
