I've been friends with this family for many years now. We met when their twin daughters were toddlers in the same Sunday school class as our middle child and here they are, freshman in high school! Time really does fly doesn't it! I've taken their photos many times in the past and am always so thankful for repeat customers, that tells me I must be doing something right. They now have a total of 5 kids and it was great to see them all together having fun. We did their photos at Tempe Beach Park, such a fun place with some great backgrounds. I may have fallen in love with the dreamy blue eyes of their 1st grader, could he be any cuter- I mean seriously.

T and J
I enjoyed taking these mother/son photos at Tempe Beach Park. I met this family over 11 years ago when we were both attending adoption classes to adopt our children from South Korea. We quickly became friends and experienced the highs and lows of adoption as we anticipated and waited for our children to become part of our forever families. Her son came just a few weeks before our daughter, I still remember that amazing moment watching her meet her son for the first time. And they were there for us as we met our daughter for the first time. We have a special bond that will always be there. It was so great to see them again and every year that passes, our kids just keep growing! I can't believe her son and our daughter are already in 5th grade and approaching 11 years old! Here are a few cute pictures from their photo shoot, as you can see her son loves football so we integrated that into their photo session.

Re-launch of KandidsbyKorri!
Re-launch of KandidsbyKorri!
I’m so excited to announce that KbK! is back! After some much needed time off to rest and reevaluate, I’m ready to get behind my camera and take pictures of amazing families like yours! Even though I've been absent for almost two years here on my blog, it doesn't mean I haven't been behind my camera doing what I love- it just means I've had to scale way back due to the rhythm of my family and spend more time doing life with my husband and kids. The photo shoots I have had, haven't made their way to the blog but directly into the hands of my few, yet very thankful clients. So after a season of having to say no a lot, I'm finally ready to start saying YES again to photo shoots. And what a perfect time to dive back in as Fall in Arizona is a beautiful time for family photos, especially with Christmas right around the corner!
My 2015 fall season is kicking off on Friday October 2nd and I will be offering weekend sessions through Sunday December 6th. I am available for sessions on Friday-Sunday evenings and on Saturday & Sunday mornings. Keep in mind the best time for morning photos are before 10 a.m. and for evening photos, after 4 p.m.
I will be shooting at a choice of six amazing locations this season, two of them being newer locations. One of the most important things I’ve learned as a photographer is that when I’m familiar and comfortable with a location; it provides my clients with the best possible photos. I have chosen these specific locations because I’ve shot at them multiple times and am familiar with the lighting and with the perfect backdrops to make the best photos. You will see that there are a variety of different looks and I assure you one of these will match your family’s personality beautifully.
1. Mesa Arts Center (for a classy, contemporary, and artsy look- provides abundant variety and vibrant color). You can click on "Mesa Arts Center" on the sidebar to see pictures at this location.
2. Riparian Preserve (a desert lovers habitat with beautiful trails, native trees, and water features).
3. Tempe Beach Park (A family friendly, fun, urban look- one of my favorites). You can click on "Tempe Beach Park" on the side bar to see photos at this location.
4. Tonto National Preserve (for the nature loving adventurers who aren’t afraid to get off the beaten path). *must wear closed toed shoes at this location and not suitable for babies/toddlers. Click on "Tonto Preserve" to see photos at this location.
5. Coon Bluff (A country feel with gorgeous greenery and rock formations near the base of the Salt River). *New location*
6. Downtown Mesa (for the city dweller who enjoys the hustle and bustle of a busy downtown and doesn’t mind a crowd). *New location*

*G* Family
So many of my clients lately have come from referrals from past customers. I've been keeping so busy this spring with photo shoots because of it. The popular spot lately seems to be Tempe Beach Park and I do enjoy taking photos there. I met this family there over the weekend and we enjoyed the many different looks of TBP. It was another fun photo shoot!
One of the daughters came up with this idea and wanted me to give it a try.

B & B engagement photos
This lovely couple asked me to take their engagement photos. I of course said yes, who wouldn't want to take pics of this nice looking couple. It's always fun to photograph beautiful people. Of course all my clients are beautiful, this couple just knocked beauty out of the park (specifically Tempe Beach Park where we did their photos). Every time I have a photo shoot at this location I'm always happy with how the pics turn out. So here they are, a few of my favs.

*G* Family-Tempe Beach Park
This family is one of the greatest families you will ever meet. I'm so happy to call them friends. We met at Tempe Beach Park for their photo shoot. What a beautiful family! I pretty much smiled through the entire edit of these pics, how could I not with these smiling faces looking at me.

*S* Family
This photo shoot was so wonderful! I got to photograph the family who became one of our first family friends after moving to Arizona back in 1999. We met at church and became great friends. We used to babysit for each other and enjoyed going through our second pregnancies together. Even though we don't see each other as often as I would like, we are always able to pick right up where we left off. It's been so great to watch their two children grow into wonderful young people. They were so easy to photograph and were willing to do pretty much anything I asked them to. I'll leave off some of their silly ones to spare any embarassment. :)
