P family

I love new customers, especially when they are already a familiar face to me. I know this family from church, although they attend a different campus than we do so it's not that often that I see them but our paths do cross every now and then. We chose Riparian Preserve for their location and let me just say, this location is a popular spot for photos! I think there were at least a dozen families who were having photos taken at the same time we were there. I really enjoyed taking their photos and getting to know their kids, teenagers are so fun! They always bring a fun flare to any photo shoot.

-W- Family

I had the honor of meeting this family over four years ago when their daughter became part of the junior high life group I was leading at our church. I got to know this family through those two years and now their daughter is a Sophomore in high school! Time sure does fly and for some reason kids just keep growing and growing! I've enjoyed a photo shoot with family a few years ago and they were due for updated photos so they asked me to do them. I love returning customers, it's like the best compliment ever! And I was super excited that we got to do some of their photos in my new favorite location, downtown Mesa. We did some at Mesa Arts Center as well. The more I go to the downtown area, the more I love it! Here are some of my favorite photos from their photo shoot.

*O* Family

This photo shoot was extra special. When I first met this family and did their photo shoot, they had one daughter and were longing for more children. They felt the call to foster care to grow their family and in a short amount of time they doubled their family size. They have since adopted their two beautiful boys and are fostering a gorgeous baby girl. You will notice I had to blur her face in the pictures because we have to keep her identity a mystery, but let me just tell you she is ADORABLE! These parents are the real deal, they are so kind, loving, wise, and amazing when it comes to parenting. Their children are so well behaved and really listened to their parents reminders and corrections. It was such a breath of fresh air and made my heart burst for joy that these children are now growing up in a loving home with parents who advocate for them and give them so much more than just unconditional love. Here are a few photos I want to share from their photo shoot at Mesa Arts Center.

My family photos- downtown Mesa

It's been two years since we did family photos so we were well overdue. I knew just where I wanted to take them, downtown Mesa (one of my new locations I'm shooting at this season). So tonight we headed to downtown with the kids, camera, tripod and self timer and did our little photo shoot as a family. Someday we will let someone else do the honors of taking our family photos, but I really wanted to try out this new location for myself. Here are some photos from our photo shoot, I'm so excited I have a few families interested in doing their photos at this location because from what I see; it photographs really well.

Re-launch of KandidsbyKorri!

I’m so excited to announce that KbK! is back! After some much needed time off to rest and reevaluate, I’m ready to get behind my camera and take pictures of amazing families like yours! Even though I've been absent for almost two years here on my blog, it doesn't mean I haven't been behind my camera doing what I love- it just means I've had to scale way back due to the rhythm of my family and spend more time doing life with my husband and kids. The photo shoots I have had, haven't made their way to the blog but directly into the hands of my few, yet very thankful clients. So after a season of having to say no a lot, I'm finally ready to start saying YES again to photo shoots. And what a perfect time to dive back in as Fall in Arizona is a beautiful time for family photos, especially with Christmas right around the corner!

My 2015 fall season is kicking off on Friday October 2nd and I will be offering weekend sessions through Sunday December 6th. I will be shooting at a choice of six amazing locations this season, two of them being newer locations. One of the most important things I’ve learned as a photographer is that when I’m familiar and comfortable with a location; it provides my clients with the best possible photos. I have chosen these specific locations because I’ve shot at them multiple times and am familiar with the lighting and with the perfect backdrops to make the best photos. You will see that there are a variety of different looks and I assure you one of these will match your family’s personality beautifully.

1. Mesa Arts Center (for a classy, contemporary, and artsy look- provides abundant variety and vibrant color). You can click on "Mesa Arts Center" on the sidebar to see pictures at this location.

2. Riparian Preserve (a desert lovers habitat with beautiful trails, native trees, and water features).

3. Tempe Beach Park (A family friendly, fun, urban look- one of my favorites). You can click on "Tempe Beach Park" on the side bar to see photos at this location.

4. Tonto National Preserve (for the nature loving adventurers who aren’t afraid to get off the beaten path). *must wear closed toed shoes at this location and not suitable for babies/toddlers. Click on "Tonto Preserve" to see photos at this location.

5. Coon Bluff (A country feel with gorgeous greenery and rock formations near the base of the Salt River). *New location*

6. Downtown Mesa (for the city dweller who enjoys the hustle and bustle of a busy downtown and doesn’t mind a crowd). *New location*

**stay tuned for photos at the two new locations, Coon Bluff and Downtown Mesa. As my sessions get underway, I will be posting the galleries on my blog.

Head shots

I kicked off this photography season by doing head shots for this child actor. He has been in several plays and has several opportunities ahead in the near future. I was so happy to be part of this exciting time in his life. We did his head shots at Mesa Arts Center. I just love the diversity of what it offers.
