When you get to hang with this family you are in for a treat! The positive energy, free entertainment, and easy going nature from both mom and dad makes for a delightful experience. The one thing I keep learning with each photo shoot I do is how much I LOVE family. I am so thankful that God created family and that I have gotten glimpses into some amazing families like this one. I really love this family, we have known them now for 10 years and as you can see they have been busy. Their photo shoot was a blast, I don't think I have ever laughed so much on a photo shoot before!. It's always fun to capture family moments, especially the candid ones and I had a lot of those to capture. The last picture on here cracks me up. This sweet boy was telling me that I was only allowed one more picture and as you can see his little brother was done. I just love the look on mommy's face. I am thankful they shared their family moments with me, it made me love this family even more than I already do.

Sisters
31 years, that's how long I have been friends with the mother of these beautiful girls. Our friendship has lasted over 3 decades! It has been so fun watching her girls grow up into lovely young women. I had so much fun at their photo shoot, our hour together flew by. The girls both have personalities that draw you in and you can't help but to want to hang out with them. I think you'll see what I mean by looking at their pictures.

Classy
The word classy is defined as having or showing class, elegant, stylish, having or reflecting high standards of personal behavior, admirably skillful and graceful. And that is exactly what this family was like. I really enjoyed taking their pictures and seeing a glimpse into their family. Mom and dad wanted a family picture with their son and daughter and their spouses while everyone was in town for Thanksgiving. They were a great looking family and we had a great time.
Even the classiest can have a good time! :)

my camera has had a lot of practice....
....with this family. Engagement photos, senior pictures, bridal shower, headshots, just to name a few. Not only is this family close friends of ours, they also happen to be our neighbors. We are so thankful for such great nieghbors and friends, they are the kind of neighbors that you can't live without. We are truly blessed to have them living next door to us. I have enjoyed the many photographs I have taken of their family but today was a first when I got to take pictures of their entire family all at the same time. Mom and dad, 4 kids, and one son-in-law who is married to their oldest daughter. And the youngest daughter is our kids babysitter and they all think she is one of the coolest people on earth.
a trade, and a good one at that
I was so excited to trade services with this family. This is my hair dresser who I love, she cuts our hair and does a mighty fine job of it! I asked her before our last haircuts if she would be interested in doing free cuts and in return I would give her family a free photo shoot. She agreed and had actually been thinking the same thing. Isn't it fun when things work out like that. So here are a few snapshots from their photo session.

A family is like.....
reading a book. And if I could come up with a title for this families book it would simply be called JOY! Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE my job? I really do, especially when I get to photograph people who I have a relationship with. We met this family when their middle son was in preschool with our middle son. Our friendship was quick to happen as we both had husbands in the same profession, our kids were quick to form friendships with each other, and we all just clicked. This is a family we can always pick up right where we left off even if it's been a few months since we talked. Just being around this family will bring you much JOY!
This picture below just melts my heart. It was over a year ago when he had a tragic accident that could have ended so differently but God not only spared Him, he brought him through it with hardly a scratch on his body. It was truly a miracle and for that miracle we are so THANKFUL!

a family first
I met this wonderful family when our kids were involved in martial arts classes together and we are also both involved in a homeschool field trip group. It's been fun getting to know them and their four boys. As I was taking their pictures they told me that their last family picture was when they only had two kids, and now they have 4 boys! I love being able to give families the gift of pictures especially when I hear that they haven't had a family picture in several years.
