Re-launch of KandidsbyKorri!

Re-launch of KandidsbyKorri!

I’m so excited to announce that KbK! is back! After some much needed time off to rest and reevaluate, I’m ready to get behind my camera and take pictures of amazing families like yours! Even though I've been absent for almost two years here on my blog, it doesn't mean I haven't been behind my camera doing what I love- it just means I've had to scale way back due to the rhythm of my family and spend more time doing life with my husband and kids. The photo shoots I have had, haven't made their way to the blog but directly into the hands of my few, yet very thankful clients. So after a season of having to say no a lot, I'm finally ready to start saying YES again to photo shoots. And what a perfect time to dive back in as Fall in Arizona is a beautiful time for family photos, especially with Christmas right around the corner!

My 2015 fall season is kicking off on Friday October 2nd and I will be offering weekend sessions through Sunday December 6th. I am available for sessions on Friday-Sunday evenings and on Saturday & Sunday mornings. Keep in mind the best time for morning photos are before 10 a.m. and for evening photos, after 4 p.m.

I will be shooting at a choice of six amazing locations this season, two of them being newer locations. One of the most important things I’ve learned as a photographer is that when I’m familiar and comfortable with a location; it provides my clients with the best possible photos. I have chosen these specific locations because I’ve shot at them multiple times and am familiar with the lighting and with the perfect backdrops to make the best photos. You will see that there are a variety of different looks and I assure you one of these will match your family’s personality beautifully.

1. Mesa Arts Center (for a classy, contemporary, and artsy look- provides abundant variety and vibrant color). You can click on "Mesa Arts Center" on the sidebar to see pictures at this location.

2. Riparian Preserve (a desert lovers habitat with beautiful trails, native trees, and water features).

3. Tempe Beach Park (A family friendly, fun, urban look- one of my favorites). You can click on "Tempe Beach Park" on the side bar to see photos at this location.

4. Tonto National Preserve (for the nature loving adventurers who aren’t afraid to get off the beaten path). *must wear closed toed shoes at this location and not suitable for babies/toddlers. Click on "Tonto Preserve" to see photos at this location.

5. Coon Bluff (A country feel with gorgeous greenery and rock formations near the base of the Salt River). *New location*

6. Downtown Mesa (for the city dweller who enjoys the hustle and bustle of a busy downtown and doesn’t mind a crowd). *New location*

**stay tuned for photos at the two new locations, Coon Bluff and Downtown Mesa. As my sessions get underway, I will be posting the galleries on my blog.

Pricing: $80 - $100 (tbd by location choice and family size)
This price includes a 1 hour photo session @ one location and your edited photos delivered on a custom USB drive within one week of your photo shoot, I hold no copyright so you are free to print your pictures at the location of your choice.
I accept all major credit cards, cash, or payment can be made by Paypal. Payment is due at time of photo shoot.

Book with me now to schedule your photo session! I anticipate that my spots will fill up fast, so don’t delay. I look forward to your session and providing your family with some treasured photos! A photo session with me is fun, always comfortable, and I have a unique way of capturing the personality of each family member in a candid, yet professional way.

A family is like.....

reading a book. And if I could come up with a title for this families book it would simply be called JOY! Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE my job? I really do, especially when I get to photograph people who I have a relationship with. We met this family when their middle son was in preschool with our middle son. Our friendship was quick to happen as we both had husbands in the same profession, our kids were quick to form friendships with each other, and we all just clicked. This is a family we can always pick up right where we left off even if it's been a few months since we talked. Just being around this family will bring you much JOY!

This picture below just melts my heart. It was over a year ago when he had a tragic accident that could have ended so differently but God not only spared Him, he brought him through it with hardly a scratch on his body. It was truly a miracle and for that miracle we are so THANKFUL!

a family first

I met this wonderful family when our kids were involved in martial arts classes together and we are also both involved in a homeschool field trip group. It's been fun getting to know them and their four boys. As I was taking their pictures they told me that their last family picture was when they only had two kids, and now they have 4 boys! I love being able to give families the gift of pictures especially when I hear that they haven't had a family picture in several years.

the beauty of adoption....

We met this family back in 2004 when we were both embarking on our adoption journeys. Little did we know when we started the process our babies would be born within one month of one another and be brought home within just a few weeks of each other. We have maintained contact since the arrival of our South Korean beauties and I had the absolute pleasure of taking their family photos.

Every family tells a story

and this family spoke love, respect, and joy. I met this mom 5 years ago when we were both involved with the MOPS group at our church. We quickly discovered a special friendship and even though we don't see each other a whole lot, our times together are always enjoyable. She is someone I can talk to deeply even if we haven't talked in months. I was so happy when she asked me to do their pictures! As you can see they are a great family and have two adorable kids.

Have I mentioned lately how much I love what I do!

from boys to men

I couldn't think of anything else to title this post so I chose from boys to men because it was only yesterday that these men were little boys and now they are 22, 20, and 18! I didn't meet them before today but my oldest son had this mom for his preschool teacher when he was only 3. That was 9 (sniff sniff) years ago. Nine years ago the boys pictured here would have been 9, 11, and 13! Um, I now have a 9 and almost 12 year old (in a few weeks time) and the way the past 9 years have flown by, our boys will be men before we know it. Enough sappy and moving on, this family was truly one of the funnest and most entertaining families I have ever worked with. The humor in this family was very entertaining. Take a look at their pictures and I think you will have a good feel for this family. I love the candid fun shots!
