It was just yesterday she was playing in our front yard with piggie tails and missing her two front teeth. Fast forward 10 years later and I'm photographing her for the winter formal high school dance. I blinked and our neighbor girl grew up. So crazy how that happens. I photographed seven couples who were all going to the dance. The time of the photo shoot wasn't the greatest as far as lighting. We couldn't start until 5 p.m. but most people couldn't come until 5:30 p.m. which meant I was pretty much shooting in the dark, the very dark dark. But the teens seem to be perfectly satisfied with their pics. They aren't hard to please at this age. :)
They could only be serious for so long and then things needed to get silly!

dressy, casual, and super fun!
This is probably one of my favorite photo shoots yet because of the photos towards the end of this post. Not only did I get to take pictures of this Senior on his dirt bike, but I found a new location to do pictures as well, a little road off of Lehi that will be perfect for sunset pictures and pictures with mountains in the background. The dirt bike pictures were really fun, I'm really happy with the images I captured. We also did his dressy and casual photos at Mesa Center for the Arts. This senior is the son of one of my friends. They have 5 boys and 1 girl. This particular son is their tallest one coming in at 6 feet 7 inches. Yes, I brought my step stool with me and it came in very handy!

Girlfriends!
I had a blast at this photo shoot! I did Senior pictures for one of these gals several months ago and she called me back to see if I would do a photo shoot with her and two of her best girlfriends. These gals were not only beautiful as you can see but they all love the Lord and it shines through! They will all be going off to college in the Fall so in some of their pictures they wore their college T-shirts. And of course they also had to sport their cap and gown. It was really a fun time and I enjoyed this photo shoot so much. I can't help but get excited for them as they start a new chapter in their life!

Senior snapshots
I enjoyed another Senior photo shoot earlier this week. I have a special connection with this particular senior since she is also a babysitter for our kids and I have taken a few Bible studies with her mom. Shelby is just as beautiful inside as she is outside. We enjoyed her photo shoot at Mesa Center for the Arts and the botanical park garden in Mesa. She was a natural for the camera as you can tell by the pictures. She will be heading to Tucson for school in the Fall, we will miss her babysitting but we are excited for her to go off to college and start a new chapter in her life. What an exciting time! I really love taking Senior pictures!

Prom, oh what fun!
Let's just say that this group of Seniors was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed taking their pictures at Mesa Center for the Arts. It was very refreshing to be around teenagers who are respectful, kind, and thankful. Not that I am around other teens who are not this way, but it seems you always hear about the "bad" ones and it was nice to be around the "good" ones. It was also fun to see the pretty dresses these gals wore. I loved the bright colors and modest look they all had. Camden, my 9 year old, went along as my helper tonight. He was a great help and it was great to hang out with him. This is the first time I have taken one of my kids on a photo shoot but I could get used to it. Camden, your hired!

a senior already?
I really can't believe I was taking this guy's senior pictures. It just doesn't seem possible that it is already time for him to graduate. Having this family as our neighbors and friends, I have had a birds eye view of watching two of their kids graduate, one get married, and now it is his turn to don the cap and gown and graduate. It's just crazy how time flies. I really enjoyed doing his Senior pictures and he was a great sport and a great model. I enjoyed his laid back nature of things, so unlike girls when they are having their pictures taken. I really like how they turned out! Here is a little peak. You can click on the picture for a larger view if you want. I notice my monogram doesn't stand out in the picture that well, I still need to work on it. I want it subtle but not so much you have to search for it. And just a side note, when I download the pictures to the discs to give to my clients, the monogram is not on there. It's just for when I download them to my blog so nobody is stealing my pictures.
P.S. the last picture on here is just for laughs. ;)
